This person would work independently on providing editorial content for our publication. Hours per week depend on assignment but would be 4-6 hours on average per week.
We are looking in particular for someone interested in developing skills as a writer/editor, specifically of online content. Important qualifications include:
solid writing ability -- writing samples will be requested (English major or minor a plus); excellent proofreading skills, and high communication skills; some knowledge of internet research via search engines will be very helpful; interest in local hispanic community; ability to work independently; knowledge of (or willingness to learn about) online communities, in particular message boards/forums; organization skills; and, hopefully, a sense of humor, curiosity and enthusiasm! Job Requirements: Bilingual (Spanish / English is a plus)
This is an unpaid internship telecommuting position for SaborHR.com, a bilingual online publication for the Hispanic community in Hampton Roads. We offer interns the opportunity to work independently, while receiving guidance from the editor, on varied assignments. These may include conducting interviews, researching and writing articles, cd reviews, and other projects involved in our publication. As this is a virtual office, we all communicate via email, phone, and some in house meetings. The schedule is very flexible, and we can adjust your workload according to how much time you can commit.
